To be fair, I've only played the MXR in a loud room and I own Tim,Timmy V2 and Timmy V3. I like the Tim best, and the V3 second best-it's smoother in high gain mode and pretty spot on to the original in low gain mode. The MXR sounded the same, but not quite as smooth or as flexible.
